Phar e APC

Ho un dubbio a cui non riesco a dare una risposta: APC mette in cache il contenuto di un file phar?
Cercando su google ho trovato due risposte opposte:

According to the creator of PHP’s phar extension, APC does not cache the contents of phar files. Because of this, you will not benefit at all from APC’s opcode caching when using the phar file.
